Few plants cause more sighs than roses. We are especially proud that since 2011 our city has its Velika Gorica rose, which is also the first bushy rose grown in Croatia. About 300 shrubs of roses have been planted in four public spaces in Velika Gorica.
From 2011 to 2013, as a part of the International Spring Fair, there were three festivals with a rich special program (photo exhibition of roses and children's works, lectures on tourism, floristic exhibition and art workshops for children on the theme of roses, exhibition of souvenirs and other crafts products with rose motifs...). In 2014 The Tourist Board of Velika Gorica organized a different concept of this event which that year took place through a series of activities throughout the crop year.
